Purpose and Scope of the Project

The primary aim is to support the social and psychological well-being of older adults—one of the disadvantaged groups—by building meaningful relationships with them. Within the scope of the project, residents of the Ihlamur Konağı Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center in Ankara were provided with information on marine and aquatic sciences; experiences and memories were shared; and the “life energy” of the seas was conveyed. The project also aimed to benefit from the elders’ accumulated knowledge and to enable our students and young researchers to connect with them through their perspective and lived experience.

Activities Implemented
