Within the scope of the “One Step to Water, a Door to Life” social responsibility project carried out by the Marine and Aquatic Sciences Application and Research Center (DENAM), a visit to the Foundation for the Education and Protection of Children with Intellectual Disabilities (ZİÇEV) was conducted on 14 November 2025. The visit was attended by the Center Director Prof. Dr. Lale Balas, Deputy Director Prof. Dr. Asu İnan, and Advisory Board Member Prof. Dr. Can Elmar Balas.

During the meeting, inter-institutional collaboration opportunities aligned with the project objectives, participant needs, and the design of accessible activities were discussed. A preliminary assessment was also carried out regarding joint activity themes and an implementation schedule. The visit aimed to strengthen science-based awareness and engagement activities for disadvantaged groups within the framework of DENAM’s mission of social contribution
